KATE BOXER, BASIA LAUTMAN, FRANÇOIS PONT, JO HINCKS

Kate Boxer returns for her biannual show at North House Gallery with two of her friends: Basia Lautmann, whose work is as quirky and fun as Kate's own, was born in Poland and attended Central St. Martins College of Art gaining a BA and a Postgrad Diploma in Visual Communication. She paints, makes prints and also writes and illustrates her own books; and François Pont, who was born in Switzerland, also studied in London, at the Byam Shaw School of Art and Camberwell Art School, where he specialised in printmaking. He keeps in contact with Swiss printmakers and has a large press in London where he makes his own gestural but immaculate prints and helps other artists, like Kate and Basia, to make plates and print editions.

Jo Hincks makes stylish, witty jugs, which sit very happily with the pictures in this exhibition.
