In the last four years since his previous solo exhibition at North House Gallery, John Cobb has continued to make and exhibit sculpture (winning the odd award). His work is constructed rather than carved, sometimes dense and compact in appearance, at other times open and unfolding. The constructions have become progressively more straight-edged, nonetheless encompassing a wide range of starting points and forms (from the difficulty in counting sheep to the similarities/differences between writing and making small object).
